It accepts various deposits, such as general, preferential interest, savings, and foreign exchange deposits, as well as omnibus accounts and provides public treasury services. The company also offers various loan products comprising general, consumer, policy, and small and medium enterprises loans. In addition, it provides foreign exchange, trust, short-term bills, electronic banking, ATM and credit card, and offshore banking services, as well as safety deposit boxes and remittance services. Further, the company offers government employee’s insurance products; wealth management services; and procurement services on behalf of government agencies, public schools, and government enterprises, as well as issues NT dollar currency for the Central Bank; and engages in precious metals business. It operates approximately 163 branches in Taiwan; offshore banking branch; and 13 overseas units. The company was founded in 1946 and is headquartered in Taipei City, Taiwan. Bank of Taiwan is a subsidiary of Taiwan Financial Holding Co., Ltd.
