DBS Hong Kong Bank is the seventh largest bank in the city as measured by assets. The bank is licensed and incorporated in Hong Kong, operating as a subsidiary of the DBS Bank, headquartered in Singapore.
DBS started its operations in Hong Kong in 1999 by acquiring Kwong On Bank, that was renamed to DBS Kwong On Bank.
Then, in 2001 were acquired Dao Heng Bank and its subsidiary Overseas Trust Bank.
As a result, these three banks were later merged under the trading name of DBS Bank Hong Kong .
