Standard Chartered Bank Hong Kong 渣打銀行(香港)

Standard Chartered Hong Kong is a licensed bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Standard Chartered PLC, a leading international banking group based in the UK and operating globally.

The bank opened its first branch in Hong Kong back in 1859 as the Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China. In 2000, Standard Chartered acquired Hong Kong’s retail banking business of the Chase Manhattan Bank, including Chase Manhattan Card Company Limited.

The bank is one of the three commercial banks licensed by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority to issue banknotes in Hong Kong.
